A DOZEN MINCE PIES
YOU WILL NEED
Oven 200°C Gas 6
Tartlet tin
7 cm round cutter
5.5 cm round cutter
INGREDIENTS
Grated zest of 1 orange
225g Plain Flour
Pinch salt
100g margarine
2-3 tablespoons of cold water
Icing sugar to dust
225g mince meat
1-2 tablespoons brandy |

1. Sieve flour and salt into a bowl, cut margarine into chunks and rub into the flour to make breadcrumbs, add orange zest and water to mix into firm dough.
2. Roll out dough onto lightly floured work surface, cut 12 large bases and 12 small lids, place large bases into tartlet tin.
3. Mix mincemeat with brandy and spoon into bases, dampen edges with water and cover with lids.
4. Snip two slits in the top of each pie and bake for 15-20 minutes until golden.
Dust with icing sugar and enjoy with family and friends. |
